Password request when joint to the LAN
In this case, can access to another PC on the LAN, but Password request whether the PC in the network is not set password.
For win 7
In the Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings
Dialog box appears
In Public folder sharing, check on Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folders.Save changes.
If you have to do this but it still requires password, check the Folder options.
Open Folder options
In View tab, check the Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended) has chosen or not, if not, please tick, Apply and Restart (if necessary).
To share files. Right-click the folder or drive want to share.
Click Advanced sharing…
Check on Share this folder. Click Permissions
If for user all right to use (view, copy, delete….) check on Full Control.
For win XP.
Turn off Guest account.
Turn off Firewall: Open Control Panel.
Open Windows Firewall
Check on Off.
If you have to do this but it still requires password, check the Folder options.

In View tab, check the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) has chosen or not, If not, please tick. Apply and Restart ( if necessary ).
To share:
To share files. Right-click the folder or drive want to share, select Share with (or similar)
Move to Sharing tab, click on the link.
and begin sharing. If for user all right to use (view, copy, delete….) check on Allow network users to change my files.Apply..
